TV MAN TATUM HAILS NILSSON SIGNING

TOP TV commentator Kelvin Tatum says Leicester have pulled a masterstroke by snapping up Kim Nilsson.

The Swede joins the new era at Beaumont Park after Lakeside Hammers, coached by Tatum, dropped into the National League.

And Sky Sports man Tatum, who also commentates on BT Sport’s coverage of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, insists Nilsson will prove to be a superb signing for the Lions.

“Kim was an absolute delight to deal with at Lakeside,” said Tatum. “He never let us down, he was ultra-reliable and I’m delighted to see him fixed up at Leicester.

“He always took pride in his professionalism and more than once he proved to be a matchwinner for us. He played a massive part in getting us to the play-offs.

“I believe Kim will prove to be a very astute signing by Leicester and in many ways could turn out to be a masterstroke by the club.

“He will do a fine job for them and I sincerely wish Kim and the new Leicester management all the very best for the new season.”

Nilsson will make his Lions debut in the Premiership at Beaumont Park on Saturday April 1 when they face Swindon in what promises to be an entertaining opening night.
